Send-Off Party

Send off parties are a time for students and families to meet other incoming BC students and families, as well as to meet local alumni/BC family members. They are a celebration of the big move students are making to college in the fall. Please register for one of the parties you’d like to attend below.

You can schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor and take a campus tour between May and August as follows:

Monday – Thursday

  • 9:15 a.m. appointment and 10 a.m. tour
  • 10 a.m. tour and 11 a.m. appointment
  • 1:15 p.m. appointment and 2 p.m. tour
  • 2 p.m. tour and 3 p.m. appointment


  • 9:15 a.m. appointment and 10 a.m. tour

Keep in mind that students will not be on campus, and the dining hall is closed.

Open House

Open Houses are designed for high school and transfer students to gain insight into what it is like to be a BC student. These are day-long events with check-in at 9 a.m. and lunch concluding around 1:30 p.m. The schedule includes informational sessions for both prospective students and families.

Open House Information Sessions:

  • Academic Overview
    The session highlights distinctive features within our four academic divisions and the Center for Engaged Learning.
  • Student panel
    Ask questions to a panel of current students regarding academics, student life, meals, sports and other questions regarding campus life.
  • Admissions and Financial Aid
    The session reviews criteria, dates and deadlines for the enrollment process.
  • Meeting with faculty, staff and coaches
    Visit with faculty from the four academic divisions, learn about additional student services, have your questions answered about admissions and financial aid, and meet athletic coaches.
  • Campus Tour and Lunch
    Tour campus with a Student Ambassador and be our guest for lunch. A tour of the equestrian center is available following lunch.

2019 Virginia Private College Week

Monday, July 22, 2019 at 9:00 AM – Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 9:00 AM

One of the highlights of our summer is Virginia Private College Week, which will be held this year from Monday, July 22 through Saturday, July 27.

Virginia Private College Week offers prospective students the opportunity to meet with admissions representatives, visit with faculty, talk with current students, take a campus tour and learn what Bridgewater College has to offer them.

Virginia Private College Week session hours:

  • Monday-Friday, July 22-July 26: 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 27: 9 a.m. session only

An opportunity to visit our Bridgewater College Equestrian center will be at 11:30 a.m. each day
