Hours: The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday; and noon to midnight on Sunday.

Richelle Soper: Counterparts is a body of ceramic work that questions the relationship between objects that are intended to function together; think a nut and a bolt. The artist uses recognizable forms in unexpected ways to create a comic yet unsettling dynamic for the viewer to contemplate the mundane.

Richelle Soper: Counterparts will be showcased Monday, Nov. 6, through Friday, Dec. 8, in the Beverly Perdue Art Gallery located on the main level of the John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons.

The art exhibition will have an opening reception in the gallery from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, with an artist’s talk at 5:30 p.m.

The art exhibition, opening reception and artist’s talk are free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday; and noon to midnight on Sunday.
