Bridgewater College first-year student Gabe Miller received the 2023 Ruth and Steve Watson Humanities Award.
The award, which comes with a scholarship, recognizes students who demonstrate dedication and sensitivity for the humanities courses embedded in the liberal arts tradition of Bridgewater College.
Miller, a history major from Alleghany County, Va., is a member of the cross country and track teams at BC. After graduating from BC in 2026, he plans to attend graduate school.
