Bridgewater College has released its biennial Speakers Bureau, which features a list of faculty and staff who are available to give presentations on a wide range of topics to clubs, schools, churches and organizations.

Bridgewater College has released its biennial Speakers Bureau, which features a list of faculty and staff who are available to give presentations on a wide range of topics to clubs, schools, churches and organizations.

Bridgewater’s Speakers Bureau is a service to the local community and there is no charge for the presentation.

The 2018-19 Speakers Bureau may be viewed on the college’s website at https://www.bridgewater.edu/events-news/speakers and requests may be submitted online.

The listing features a wide range of topics for all ages, including genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the United States, the fundamental concepts of financial literacy and how to be an inspired leader.

Also included are topics such as how to develop a business plan, recent research on minority and women entrepreneurs, election laws and requirements and the martial arts style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

The Speakers Bureau includes topics appropriate for children, including a hands-on DNA workshop for elementary and home-schooled children and demonstrations of longsword combat and chainmail armor.

The Speakers Bureau also provides a list of experts to help high-school students prepare for college, understand the college admissions process and financial aid, learn what it is like to be a college student and realize the power of a liberal arts education.

Bridgewater speakers are available to talk about current issues including the American Militia Movement, American politics, foreign policy, international affairs, terrorism, the crisis in the Middle East and the emergence of China as a world power.
