You’ll develop a heightened sense of what you see, how you see and how you communicate visually. Work in visual art is both creative and critical. It’s about seeing, thinking, feeling and doing. And about knowing, understanding and communicating.

Art Major

As an art major, you’ll gain hands-on experience through studio courses. You’ll work in a number of different media, discovering your own unique interests along the way.

Digital Media Concentration

For students in any major who want to develop creative, visual and technical skills in photography, video, web design and graphic design.

Multimedia Authoring Concentration

Open to students in any major. You’ll study media writing and public relations in collaboration with the communications department, while adding hands-on experience in photography, videography and design.

Art Minor

Add a foundation in visual arts, knowledge of art history and two studio classes of your choice to any major.

Art Galleries

Explore the spaces in which you’ll view the work of visiting artists and have the opportunity to display your own.
